The course preview hike is officially set for Saturday, October 3rd. Please RSVP at the bottom of this page so we can get a head count. You can read more about it below.
**2020 Fool's Traverse Participants ONLY: Due to the inherent dangers involved with cross country travel, we must limit participation to this outing. The course preview hike is intended for registered participants of the 2020 Fool's Traverse only. We appreciate your support, and hope to host more public outings in the future.

Required Gear (we will turn you back at the trail head if you do not have these items):
Helmet
Emergency Kit
Extra food
Extra water
Recommended Gear:
Trekking poles for stability on scree slope.
Distance: 9 mi. (exiting via icehouse canyon trail)
Vertical Gain: 4300 ft.
Meet location: Icehouse Canyon Parking Area (34°15.003', -117°38.187')
Date: Saturday, October 3rd, 2020
Time: 5:30 AM (we will leave promptly, so please arrive early.)
Difficulty: Perty darn hard, but if you're actually trying to complete the Fool's Traverse this should be a walk in the park for the likes of you.
When can we expect to be finished?
We will most likely finish before 2:00 PM.
