2026 Fool's Traverse

The Fool’s Traverse is a demanding endurance challenge hosted by TRVRS Outdoors, designed to promote safer and more mindful hiking. The event features 11 checkpoints spread throughout the Mount Baldy region, which participants must navigate strategically.
Nearly all of the checkpoints sit above 8,000 feet, and the connecting trails offer both breathtaking scenery and significant elevation changes. The route varies from gentle hiking paths to technical Class 2 terrain and steep talus fields. Those who take on the challenge are rewarded with sweeping views of the Sheep Mountain and Cucamonga Wilderness areas.
During the morning of the event, participants will check-in and organize their groups/shuttle plan. The goal is to reach as many of the 11 peaks as possible within a given time frame. After finishing, participants are invited to the after party to hang out with all of the other weirdos over a beer and food. Ample information regarding event logistics will be provided in the Survival Guide, which participants will receive several weeks before the event. It is a good time out in the mountains with a bunch of like minded weirdos.
